ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT METHODS
Having difficulties paying for your Conference fees? There are several ways
in which you can reduce the cost of your conference registration fees.
SCHOLARSHIPS
VSMM Society is offering scholarships to individuals for their outstanding
achievement in Virtual Reality. These scholarships are the equivalent to
the Attendee type. Scholarship award is full entry to the conference and
related events according to the attendee type. Scholarship does not include
financial support for Hotel, transportation, food or any other fees. Please

VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT
We will give you free entry to the conference in return for assisting
in the production and coordination of the VSMM conference. We need several
volunteers, including technical assistance, registration, general coordination
and other pre-conference assistance. Your assistance commitment will be
no greater than 50% of the total conference time and you will be given
an initial work schedule, but you can discuss with your coordinator to
reschedule around events you wish to attend. Please contact the VSMM Secretariat

VSMM has negotiated a number of partnerships with various organizations.
If you are a member of any one of these organizations, you qualify for

VSMM Banquet is not included in this package and must be purchased separately.
2. PARTNERSHIP
Access to Sessions including Select Sessions, Lectures, Workshops and
Exhibitions, coffee breaks. The attendee kit includes all conference documentation,
and 1 Copy Conference Proceedings. The Official VSMM Banquet is not included
in this package and must be purchased separately.
3. AUTHOR
Authors and Co-authors can enjoy the full conference entitlements at a
reduced fee. The Author Package includes access to Sessions (excluding
some Select Sessions), Lectures, Workshops and Exhibitions, coffee breaks.
The attendee kit includes all conference documentation, and 1 Copy Conference
Proceedings per registered author or co-author. The Official VSMM Banquet
is included in this package. Should you wish to bring an associate or
spouse to the Banquet, you may purchase an additional reservation.
4. STUDENT

and Exhibitions, coffee breaks. The attendee kit includes all conference

NOTE: Official documentation of student status is required upon check
in at the conference.

and Exhibitions, coffee breaks. The attendee kit includes all conference
documentation. Conference Proceedings and the Official VSMM Banquet is
not included in this package and must be purchased separately.
6. VOLUNTEER
Access to Sessions (excluding some Select Sessions), Lectures, Workshops
and Exhibitions, coffee breaks. The attendee kit includes all conference
documentation. The Conference Proceedings can be purchased at the special
Volunteer discounted rate. The Official VSMM Banquet is not included in
this package and must be purchased separately.
EXTRAS
Official VSMM Banquet $75.
This is the official banquet for VSMM and is a good time to meet old and
new acquaintances. This banquet is automatically included in the Author
Package. For an extra fee, students, General and day conference attendees
and spouses are welcome to attend the banquet.
Additional Proceedings $75 onsite, [$187.50 Post Conference]
Additional copies of the proceedings can be purchased onsite at a reduced
conference fee. Proceedings can also be purchased from the Society or the
publisher at the normal retail price.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration for the conference
Online and postal registration will be available after July 2 and will be
accepted until the 22 September 2001. All registrations after this will
be held and processed onsite at the conference at the Onsite registration
fee.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
Cancellations
If you must cancel your registration package and your hotel accommodation,
please contact the VSMM Secretariat [vsmm-sec@vsmm.org] immediately. If
you fail to contact us, you will be charged the full conference amount
and first night's accommodation fee. Please see below for the refund schedule.
Refunds
Cancellation requests for refunds must be made in writing or email and
postmarked on or before 21 September 2001. A processing fee of $50 will
be charged. For cancellations received between 21 September and close
of California business [5pm] 12 October, a 50% cancellation fee will be
charged. After 12 October, all fees paid are 100% non-refundable. All
refunds are processed after the conference.

SPECIAL POLICIES
Conference programs and events will be officially recorded. Recording media
other than still photography is prohibited.
Children (under 14) are not permitted to attend any conference functions
or events.
